Kairuki Hospital Green IVF Center (KHGIVF) has organized a training workshop for training doctors from various hospitals on the best fertility treatment procedures.
The training was done at the KHGIVF center, Bunju A Mianzini in Dar es Salaam and it was attended by more than 50 doctors from different parts of the country.
Dr. Clementina Kairuki who is the Director of the KHGIVF centre said that, many women have undergone different procedures at the facility and succeeded in giving birth. After receiving the treatment at the KHGIVF centre many women returned to their places of domicile, both within and outside the country, following which they delivered their children at different hospitals close to their homes. Under these circumstances, the role of staff at the KHGIVF Centre was to monitor the progress the pregnant women were making until the time they delivered their babies.
"We are monitoring them and their children by making sure that mothers are doing very well and children are being born healthy. As such Tanzanians have no reason to worry about spending a lot of money in foreign countries because this service is now available here and it is very successful and far less expensive," she said.
Also, Dr. Clementina said that the center has been receiving many women from different regions who received the service for a short time and then returned to continue with their normal activities in their various places of domicile.
Moreover, she added that, during the launch of the Center, management promised that the centre will not only provide treatment but it will also be used to provide training to medical professionals about the best methods of fertility treatment while educating Tanzania’s society as a whole about the nature and causes of infertility as well as the solutions available at the KHGIVF centre.
"We have started today to give training to our fellow doctors from various hospitals across the country about modern fertility treatment so that Tanzania can move forward on the issue. We want to point to the right direction about this treatment by dispelling misconceptions about it. We expect to conduct this kind of training at least twice a year “ She said
